Sometimes...

Just a little too sad and somber today, and I don't know why. My life is good. I feel like a pillow is smothering out some of the light and goodness I should be feeling. Is that odd? Tallulah is in preschool the bigger girls are both gone from 8 until 2 and I enjoy my "free" time but in the same breath I want to pack us up and move to a place where it is only us. Where time is frozen and we can love each other and the world doesn't keep squeezing in the cracks and pushing us apart a little more every day, but instead I sit here and waste time away wondering how and where to go from here.

Things I have realized bout myself....

1. I am not as cool as I think I am... my blog is boring, I spend way too much time lounging, and I live mostly in what jtj has coined "my homeless look"

2. I have a lot of cool ideas but am not so fab at the follow through, or as I learned the hard way. When you finally decide to decorate part of your house so it is more "you" and you buy some cool fabric and pillows and order this awesome cardboard deer head, and finally yes finally you have a vision of what this room should look like and imagine how many awesome memories you will make in this new cool room, when you finally feel secure about that and are ready to conquer the world, before the paint can even dry your pricey ( well pricey to me) deer head falls off the wall scrapes your wrinkley forehead and bends its magestic antler and the wall mount too. So when you see my house all in shambles plain and empty know that it is not because I did not try..... it is because, well because of thing 3 that I have learned about me...
3. I am unlucky. Now I am not saying that I am not blessed. I am a way too good for me man, and three awesome healthy girlies. But no I have learned Lady Luck is not my friend. If you really know me you know this is true.

After i lightened all my hair, went to a salon to get it highlighted, too boring of a end result so I threw in a bunch more foils and there you go... its freaking everyone out. Jeff got out of the shower the other day and thought I was a random woman in the bathroom. A bit startling as you can imagine.

Here I am the morning of with my friend Courtney who I convinced to help me in this process.... Oh Katie why do you love so far away? it makes it hard on my hair.
